hi, if i hold long, to set tp, should i use sell limit or sell stop? thanks
ReplyDeleteSell stop will guarantee your order will be done. If you use sell limit, there is possibility that market doesn't reach your target price (tp).
ReplyDeleteIn my system, I always use Sellstop (for long) and Buystop (for short). If market gap up or gap down past my stop price, it will trigger straight away. I won't wait.
if selk stop for tp...then how about cut loss? also use sell stop?
ReplyDeletethanks
Guess I didn't clarify here. My system doesn't set any tp, only stop. When Long, system only maintain 1 sellstop order.
ReplyDeleteHow to place order depends on your trading strategy. You may place a sell limit for tp and sellstop for stoploss. For instance, buy 2400, stoploss = sellstop 2380, tp = sell limit 2450.
